When I was a child, I was afraid of 21 things; ghosts, being alone, dentists, dogs, cats, and rats, etc. that were running wild throughout my neighborhood. My mother was a fearful woman and I took after her. It wasn’t until I became a teenager and the school pianist that I began to shed some of my fears. The music soothed my soul and I was good at it. Unknowingly I was building my mental mind base. But it wasn’t until I began studying meditation with a group of people who took me under their wings and taught me how to use my fears to help others and myself. The main lesson I learned was how to sense whose fears I was taking on, a common problem among sensitive people.
Recently while having a tooth pulled, I got a sudden pain over my right eye. I assumed it was sinus and tried to rid myself of the pain. Instead the pain became more intense. Once the tooth was extracted I opened my eyes and saw the dental assistant and knew instantly that I’d attracted her headache. She confirmed my thoughts and said, “I had a bad headache and now it’s gone.” The down side of being a psychic was that I had taken on her problem. Yuk! If only I’d known to ask these three basic questions: Was this my headache or had I attracted it from someone?Once I knew the answer, all I had to do was visualize the person’s headache dissolving itself.Lastly why did I need to have this lesson? Answer: The more I learned; the more I could help others and myself. My physical brain is now in harmony with my spiritual brain.
